N45658 Annual 2001 - Day 2
Things have slowed some due mainly to the fact that the world requires me to work so I can play. Maybe Dan can give me some lessons on how to play 24/7 and not have to do the work part. We were able to work for about 2-1/2 hours this evening and made some good progress. Unfortunately I forgot the camera so there are no pictures. All of the rivets are out of the panel except two on each end. Most of the hoses and wires are off. I unscrewed the knurled knob at the back of the tachometer but the cable will not pull out. I am waiting on my A&P for a consult prior to using more force on it. I also decided to wait for verification that the oil temperature gauge unscrews from the back of the engine and then feeds back into the cockpit. I need to get it out intact as I have to send it back as a core. The induction hose set is ordered and will be in tomorrow. I have not been able to find anyone who has a set of wires so not quite sure how that will pan out. I broke the handle on the trim crank handle. I have sent an email to my Angel in hopes of good news.
PROBLEMS
- Can't find any plug wires.
- Tachometer cable won't pull out from the back of the instrument.
- Broken trim crank handle.
