Stinson Cessna 150 Exhaust STC Installation Installation of a STC'd C-150 exhaust system, and consisting of 4 pages. The original pancake-style exhaust system had been found to not be airworthy, and no shop would agree to repair it, hence the installation of the new system. Note that the actual STC is not included in this file, in order to avoid infringing on the intellectual property rights of the STC holder. Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 6/24/2004 228,000 View
Stinson COM Antenna Bracket Fabricate and install a COM antenna bracket that allows a modern antenna to be installed in place of original Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 1/1/2000 262,000 View
Stinson Motor Mount Repair Here is another of my Form 337's, this time for the construction of a new motor mount. We discovered later that the original motor mount had been bent, and was no longer airworthy. It had originally been constructed of grade 1025 steel, which is no longer available. I was able to secure a copy of the original Stinson factory drawing and bill of material for the motor mount. The new one was constructed of grade 4130 steel, which is a much stonger and more satisfactory structural material. HOWEVER, the mechanic A&P-IA who manufactured the new mount had quite a hassle getting the approval for the 337 pushed through the FAA. It just shows how bureaucratic the federal regulators can be at times. The last two pages of the 337 are copies of the factory drawing, and the factory bill of material. Stinson Poly-Fiber Recover This 337 was used in conjunction with Poly-Fiber's STC to recover the plane. STC per-se not included in order to protect the IP of the STC holder. Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 5/6/2003 137,000 View
Stinson Fuselage Repairs Here is another of my Form 337's, this one for the fuselage repairs. I did all of the welding repair myself, under the supervision of my A&P-IA mechanic. Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 9/1/2000 425,000 View
Stinson Whelen Strobes Installation of Whelen strobes Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 9/16/2000 582,000 View
Stinson ELT Installation Here is another of my Form 337's, this time, for the installation of an Emergency Locator Transmitter. The one that was installed as detailed in the 337 had become un-approved by the time we had finished the restoration, so a newer approved model was installed on the same bracket. Included is a log book entry detailing the installation of the approved ELT. Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 9/1/2000 533,000 View
FM Oil Filter & M-20 oil/air separator Install oil filter and M-20 oil/air separator on a Continental C-85. This installation was on a Stinson; however the 337 may be a valid model for any aircraft that has a C-85 installed. Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 9/11/2003 761,000 View
Seatbelt Installation Llogbook entry that details the installation of modern seat belts and shoulder harness. A Form 337 was NOT required for this installation according to one of the FAA publications. Only a logbook entry was required. Dale Jewett 4/16/2008 10/23/2000 226,000 View
