N45658 Annual 2001 - Day 12

THIS IS WHAT THIS HAS BEEN ALL ABOUT!
Day 12 "appears" and feels like a success. We completed the windshield installation. Tedious work but a whole bunch easier than if we were installing a new one and had to trim then fit it from scratch. I installed the new turn & bank and the oil temperature/pressure gauge. After hooking up the lines it was time to install the glove compartments. That finished we replaced the 4 bad brake pulleys. We took a rag and wiped most of the fingerprints off the panel and took these pictures. I am extremely pleased with the end results. There are two more holes available so if Jane Garvey and dearest Mr. Minneta decides I need a radio and transponder I have a place to put micro-air goodies. Otherwise we leave them blank.

I did get the correct, I hope, carburetor air box rebuild kit on order. It should be here tomorrow. Next is to complete the parking brake and put the floor boards back in followed by finishing up the trim console and interior. I have some touchup to do on the side walls up by the panel. I didn't carry the painting quite far enough back. That's it for tonight! I'm happy with the current pace and results even though it was slow going in the beginning of the week.
