N45658 Annual 2001 - Day 11

GENERAL
Back on track again. We were able to get several things done tonight. I installed the parking brake cable but did not adjust it as I don't have the correct pulleys in yet. The bottom of the panel is fastened completely to the strengthener. The vinyl is finished on the glare shield and the windshield is about 3/4 of the way installed. I had one pair of pulleys sent to me wrong and There was one set wrong in my plane. I now have the correct set on the way and will have the other corrected tomorrow.

Tomorrow I can finish the windshield plus I should receive the oil pressure/temperature gauge and the turn & bank. With them and the pulleys I will be able to complete the inside of the plane except for the baggage compartment. I won't be able to put that back in until I get the last set of pulleys. I ordered a "control shaft rebuild kit" for my airbox and found that it is the wrong item. I just didn't read the catalog close enough so I need to get the right kit on order. I should have that Friday.

MISC.
I am holding out on pictures just a little while longer and the next ones I post will be of the completed panel. Of course that will be AFTER I wipe off the fingerprints. Hopefully I will have them for you all tomorrow.
