N45658 Annual 2001 - Day 10

GENERAL
Day 10 has not been one that you want to write home about. The pulleys I ordered are a smaller ID than what is on the plane so I have to back up and see what gives there. Screws that I got to use are too short. The short primer I bought will work great but I don't have the ability to swap the fuel line fittings from the old one to the new. The old fittings are really in there so I'll have to get them off at my office, where I have more tools, tomorrow. I DID manage to get the static system all plumbed up and I got the vinyl for the glare shield cut. Also, I got word that my oil temperature/ pressure gauge will definitely be here on Thursday. But that is all the good news for the day. After I got "started" today, for about the third time, a friend dropped into the hanger. You know how that goes. I just couldn't win tonight. I was there with my wife for three basically non-productive hours. I was pleased that the parts I ordered from Aircraft Spruce all were right. Now if I just could get them installed.
