N6870E is a 1960 Cessna 175A with the Avcon 180 HP Lycoming conversion and an 80 inch Hartzel CS Prop. It also has a Bush STOL kit and VG's. This picture was taken in summer 2009 on new Baumann 2550 floats at Figure 8 Lake just north of Anchorage, AK.

1958 C 175 after 7 years of work. Converted to tail wheel reworked the panel, engine overhauled, ported, polished, balanced. 80" Hartzell constant speed prop. New paint this fall. Cruises at 160 mph at 21"/2350 rpm burning 8.5 gph. Take off at 6,000" in less than 600" at gross weight. I love it and we love the Idaho back country.

N8368T came to me from a 90 year old pilot from Erie PA. She had a Franklin 180 at the time but it shortly showed the low oil pressure that indicated a need to over haul or replace. I elected to import a 220 HP engine from PZL with the help of a guy who was doing a lot of Franklin work at the time. Later, the guys in Colorado began to support the STC and I bought it along with a new engine mount. I have flown her to Dominican Republic (supposedly to be painted but really for the fun of it) Now, she is getting a new panel from Avion Research. The only thing left now, is the interior....I'm gonna have to do it.

This is what happens when you cant find a good 180 project. 1959 175 O-470, Tailwheel converted, STOL. Performs like a light early 180.

I purchased N6612E this year after whatching all the 175 sales for about 8 months. She sports a Continental IO-360-C engine conversion, and whith fuel injection and 210HP it is a wonderful flyer and short fielder. I can takeoff in about 450 feet. I am working on upgrading my panel to duel mechanical navcoms, and recently got her out of annual for a reasonable $800. Cruise is around 130kts at 10,000 feet. For more pics see my gallery at The Skylark Association's website- www.cessna175.org

Even though it does not need it "Jalopy" (Skylark 175) is going in for new paint next month. My son is an auto body painter and can't wait to get his hands on her. The only thing that has not been up-graded is the GO-300. It has 500 hours left to TBO and then she will be converted. Updates include VGs, gap seals, GPS, 4 place intercom, dual PTT, new windows, new nav/com, six pack instrument panel with new gauges, new interior, glare shield and luminescent panel lighting. In short she is spoiled.
