Talk about efficiency and foresight! Google "Burnelli"-- it's an interesting read

It's all lifting surface w/ much less parisitic drag. Check out the floor space/volume. Way more efficient than tube fuselages.

Too bad Vince Burnelli honked off FDR. His design still makes more sense than anything else in the air as it's all lifting surface w/ much less parisitic drag.

A photo of a plane my father owned and flew probably during the mid thirties to early forties. A machinist by day, at night he flew newspapers from NY City, between Boston, Baltimore and Washington DC. He flew out of Roosevelt Field in Long Island, NY. My father, Dorrance Perry is in the white shirt. The man in the center is my father's cousin Ellsworth Perry, also a pilot I have looked on the Internet and found many interesting planes, but not one like this. Also see www.eu.aircrash.org/burnelli/chrono1.htm for some interesting history. Using this site as a reference, it appears that this photo is of an RB2, by the one set of tires. RB1 had dual tires.
